How to buy cheaper-telemarketing suppliers system

There was the only successful and actively operating Russian telemarketing suppliers system in Ultra Electronics that time. The similar technologies are nowadays considered by «the dinosaur» of retail — X5 Retail Group who slowly moves its fat body.

The suppliers market allowed redefining purchasing operations of the company by eliminating the human factor from the routine processes and maximizing obligations of a supplier and information system. Purchasing decisions are made by robots on the grounds of point-based proposal ratings, thus minimizing buyer/supplier corruptogenicity.

Ultima ERP automatically configures demands in terms of product items every morning (adjusted to e.g. hourly configuration) based on:

  • Sales rates and estimated time for running inventory balance sale;
  • Connectivity and interchangeability of different product items;
  • Turnover target standards;
  • Maximizing of inventory balance marginality.

The demand is automatically adjusted subject to logistics options — storage capacity and similar factors.

Suppliers access to Ultima ERP is featured by the special suppliers interface where the final demand is published — trading opened from 9 a.m.

Suppliers publish their bids before 2 p.m. — terms of delivery to stock and prices. Every supplier has his own rating — delivery reliability, operational comfort, warranty and financial terms of a supplier provided in points.

Suppliers rating, prices and delivery terms build up the final point measure (weight) of a proposal (the influence of delivery terms on rating is recalculated simultaneously based on running inventory balance of products). The auction is conducted according to the proposal weight. The system prompts a supplier about the parameters that should be changed to increase the weight of his proposal.

The auction is closed at 2 p.m., Ultima ERP analyses the bidding results, automatically configures and distributes orders among suppliers in their coding system.

The terms of auction ending might be automatically adjusted based on urgency of the certain product demand, thus continuing optimization of suppliers proposals.

The whole functional is not provided herein for good reason.

Telemarketing system allowed comfortably processing proposals from more than 500 suppliers by only seven employees engaged into the process and more than 30 000 items in range. The monthly stock turnover was maintained from 2,5 to 3,5; the total balance was equal to several dozen millions US dollars, placed at dozen of stocks in different locations in European part of the Russian Federation.
